   hi,

   I want to write my own blog, promote my own music and such. Later on I would like to link each blog to a music piece with an option to buy that song. Is this allowed?

   I saw some restrictions for adsense advertising as well for wordpress.com blogs. But I run the software on my own server, does this restriction still count then?

   I think so, you can use wordpress for commercial purposes. Also, you can use adsense with no issues.

   WordPress is open source and can be used commercially.

   self hosted wordpress blogs can be used for commerical purpose. I think most of the top earing blogs n websites are running on wordpress CMS.
