is there a way to install 2.7 instead? I just am not happy as my plugins desired don't like 2.8.
I have already done a fair amount of customization and would prefer NOT to start from scratch.
I am not "green" but I am also not a programmer. Any plain English instructions would be super useful.

Yes, I also upgraded to 2.8 about a week ago. Now I am having problems with theme options, plugins, custom header, etc.
Can someone post instructions on how to downgrade back to 2.7?

There is no downgrade this go round. Restore from your backup and continue on. Didn't make a backup? Too bad.
Starting with 2.8 but plugins don't like it? My suggestion: Find better plugins. Really, if a plugin hasn't been updated to cope with 2.8 yet, then do you really want to use something with that little amount of support? Stick to well-supported plugins instead, you'll be happier in the long run.
