    Hello, quick question –

I have been using another popular rss import plugin (FWP) but unfortunately it’s just not getting along with my feed or my server, I don’t know what the problem is but the site is so slow it’s almost un-usable.

If I deactive that plugin and activate this and import the same RSS feed (as in rss to posts) – do you know if there’s a chance I will get duplicate posts? Or will it recognise that some of the posts are already existing and not create them?

Many thanks for any guidance you can give me. Your plugin sounds great, so many 5 star reviews! Well done.

    Hello

Since you would be using the same feed, you may get duplicates – that depends on how the different plugins handle the feeds. Here is what I would do.

    1. Delete and trash all posts within the few days or so (since most feeds only have posts for the last few days.

    2. Activate my plugin and set up the Feed to Post.

That should get you going…you may need to do a bit of tidying up of posts since, as I said, the different plugins may handle the posts differently and you may get duplicates, but my plugin, if left alone to run on schedule, should not get you duplicates.
