IE9 form height/width text-indent problem

I’ve encountered a problem in IE9 where the width & height of my fields are small, but when the user focuses on them they immediately revert to the correct dimensions. I tried using the dev tools but it seems everything is correct. In IE8, the fields are fine.
There is also text-indent problem on 3 of the field for both the placeholder text and regular text.
EDIT: This is fixed by adding line-height: 1
