I received a pingback and approved it. then when I went to visit my blog the content was gone. Just title and title of the last blog entry is left. I can see the whole post on FireFox so it looks like only IE does not like what happened to day. Everything was fine until I answered a ping and looked at where it came from. You cannot cut and paste Word documents into WP. Use Wordpad or something that will save your text as plain old text.
what kmessinger said. save your msword doc as plain text file and you copy and paste from plain text file to your WP write panel. right now, you have long long long extraneous codes like <!--[if gte mso 9]><xml> <w:WordDocument> <w:View>Normal</w:View> in your paragraphs which you will see if you click on HTML view in your Write Panel, so do clean it up.

Ok, Thanks I will use a different program to write with. However that does not solve the question of why and what happened. The post was there and was getting hits too until I approved the last pingback then it just ate the whole page. You can see that not even the side bar is showing in IE. looks fine in all other browsers.
When I approved the pingback i was sent to a page in the wp-admin that asked if I really wanted to approve it then I clicked yes. I mention this because the other 2 did not send me to any second page.
Thanks for the help. I may just delete the post and see if I get my blog back for IE. Seems drastic as it is viewable in all other browsers.

Thank you! It is back up in IE.
I went back and re did the article in wordpad - WOW that really cleans up code! Thank you both for the notes. I did not realize how much all the extraneous code could mess with the system. Now It looks good and is easy to follow both in visual and html.

You will get your blog back if you get rid of all the trash Word put in at the beginning of your post. Use "view source" in your browser and you will see it - line 48,49. Or you can just copy the post you see in FF, paste it into Word, save as text, paste it into WP.
Your site has some minor errors also. You can validate at http://validator.w3.org/.
Why it happened? You copied in formatted text with all its instructions+garbage from MS Word. That is certain. How it happened when approving a ping back (dubious practice IMHO) - way too much time to even try to figure out. Best to correct and move on especially since you are right at the beginning of your blog.
