IE not rendering theme

    I worked on the site from Google Chrome (http://www.supercoolwriters.com/wordpress/) where is shows up perfectly. But IE 8 is not rendering any of the design except the background color. I’ve tried the <!–[if IE 8]> and directing it to an IE-specific CSS but that didn’t work. Anything helps at this point! Thanks!!!
