• I am running a modified Shaded Grey at http://www.telecommer.com, and I am generally happy with it.

I am bummed about how IE on Win XP displays the site, though. Namely:

1-The text alignments are all wacked. They should nearly all be left-aligned (except the date/time in the post titles), but you see left, right, and center alignments, and some seem very random (look at the Participate section in the sidebar).

2-The post title image of a folder top repeats itself to show two folder tops (one right on top of the other). I see the topmost repeat also incorrectly displays my categories, since they should just be left aligned in only one folder image.

3-Finally, the first post double-folder set displays too high and blocks most of my header image.

I have searched through WP and cannot find anything like this, so it’s probably my own silly mistake.

Weird stuff, and I definitely appreciate any and all help.

  • 1. Validate your page and you will find some major problems (XHTML self closing tags not closed and some screwed up divs and other things) that might help solve your problem.

    2. If the problems persist and you are using valid XHTML and CSS, then track down the specific area in your page and CSS and post back a note and we’ll help you figure it out.
