Just upgraded my 3.3 to Beta 1. I hadn't played around much until now.
If I just go to media -> add new, I get the pretty looking drag and drop interface during page load
But once the page fully loads, the drag and drop interface disappears. And the 'select files' button doesn't do anything!
Browser? :)
If it's IE, this is expected (there's no drag/drop upload in IE, however I was able to add files).

Browser is IE 7 and/or 8. I put that up in the topic title, but not the content, sorry 'bout that!
I don't have the ability to drag and drop, or use the select files button. It doesn't do anything when clicked. I've reinstalled a couple of times. Not running any plugins or anything....
IE 8 lets me upload images, though I cleared away the pointer with Chrome first, so I wonder if that's related?

That's an interesting idea! I'll try to remember to logon at home later and clear out the pointer, and see if that allows me to use the 'select files' button.
Right now, I can click the button, and it visually responds.... it just doesn't do anything

OK, well I logged on with my cell phone (keep forgetting I have that) which cause me to pay closer attention (I was able to clear the pointer from my cell)
In IE7, I can't upload any media at all, none of the buttons work, whether in the media->add new screen
Or, directly from within the post editor
Also, I am missing any post editor buttons, regardless of whether I pick visual or html
On my cell, using android browser, or firefox, everything works great. So it seems to be specific to IE7 (I can't get to an IE8 machine atm to test that)
I've reinstalled all files manually, no themes/plugins
Does IE 7 get the yellow "Duuuude!" alert or the red "FOADIAF" one?
It works on IE 8, and I'm tempted to think this is 'by design.' However, per http://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/18206 :
Feature freeze! This new feature is in core. At this point, if people find new bugs with it, they should open individual bug tickets.
So I would make a new ticket for this one and reference 18206. They may close it with 'Not supposed to work in IE 7' but I don't know :)

Ooh, I hope it's not by design... WP hasn't officially dropped IE7 support yet have they?
I wish my work would adopt just a little quicker.... then I wouldn't have this issue
