[resolved] IE 7 shows Header Slider - IE 8 and 9 doesn't? (11 posts)

    Hey folks, first post here..

    I just finished my website and uploaded it to http://stefanhuberfilms.at...
    The only issue i have with the meteor slides plugin ins that it doesn't show up in IE 8 and 9, though it shows up in IE 7. Everything works fine in FF, safari, chrome so i was wondering what could cause this issue? I'm using jpegs, so it can't be the png's causing it.

    Thanks in advance,

    Stefan

    Right before the slideshow you have an unclosed anchor tag, this could be causing some problems:

    <a href="http://www.stefanhuberfilms.at/">

    It might look different in the theme, but there should be an anchor somewhere before the slideshow template tag in your header.php file.

    weird... i just wrote it like this:

    <a href="<?php echo esc_url( home_url( '/' ) ); ?>">StefanHuberFilms</a>

    and then i got is a white space over my header showing the Text "StefanHuberFilms" with a link to stefanhuberfilms.at, all ok but then i reverted the header.php to its previous state and nothing changed... i emptied the cache, shows up in Windows, Safari, Chrome and Firefox...

    sorries but i'm a coding noob... :(

    lol i just found out that the "WP Supercache" plugin has show me the cached page although i emptied my browsers cache...

    now it is running...

    the solution was deleting this line:
    <a href="<?php echo esc_url( home_url( '/' ) ); ?>">
    and also this code a few lines below:
    </a>

    thank you so much!
