Ideal image size for retina displaying

    Other posts suggest….
    ….The ideal size of featured image that works in anywhere in this theme is 1038px wide, 576px height….
    Is this true for a WordPress site seen on a retina screen or should it be doubled (2076×1152)?
    What image size should a client upload to the Media Gallery to work for the twenty fourteen theme requirements and meet the requirements of a retina screen?
