  • Forecast is working but all icons are missing on website and in plugin configuration … check out the sidebar at http://www.liveinannapolis.com.

    I’m having the same problem.

    Experiencing the same problem as well…hope this is resolved quickly because it’s the best weather plugin I’ve found.

    Weather Underground has changed the link locations of all of their icons.

    I updated the code for my client, should anyone want to use it, you are welcome to. However i am sure they will update the plugin themselves soon.

    You can also edit the file and do a find and replace all for “icons-ecast.wxug.com/” and replace with “icons-ak.wxug.com/”

    this is the wunderground.php

    	<p class="howto updated" style="padding:1em;">If you configure the settings to the left, all you will need to do is add <code>[forecast]</code> to your post or page content or text widget to add the forecast table.</p>
    	<h4>Date Formatting</h4>
    	<p>You can use the following tags: <code>%%weekday%%</code>, <code>%%day%%</code>, <code>%%month%%</code>, <code>%%year%%</code>, as well as using <a href="http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.date.php" target="_blank">PHP date formatting</a>.</p>
    	<h4>Example date options:</h4>
    	<ul>
    		<li><code>Today's Weather (%%weekday%%)</code> <em>outputs as:&nbsp;</em> <strong>Today's Weather ($weekday)</strong></li>
    		<li><code>%%day%%<strong>/</strong>%%month%%<strong>/</strong>%%year%% Weather</code> <em>outputs as:&nbsp;</em> <strong>$date Weather</strong></li>
    		<li><code>Weather on date("m/d/Y")</code> <em>outputs as:&nbsp;</em> <strong>Weather on $date</strong></li>
    		<li><code>date("\W\e\a\\t\h\e\\r\ \\f\o\\r\ m-d-y")</code> <em>outputs as:&nbsp;</em> <strong>Weather for $date2</strong></li>
    	</ul>
    	<hr style="padding-top:1em; outline:none; border:none; border-bottom:1px solid #ccc;"/>
    	<h4>Highs & Lows Formatting</h4>
    	<p>Use the following tags to modify how low and high temps display: <code>%%high%%</code> and <code>%%low%%</code>.</p>
    	<ul>
    		<li><strong>HTML is fully supported.     		<li><strong>Choose to only show high or low:</strong><br /><code>High of %%high%%.</code> <em>outputs as:&nbsp;</em> High of 85.</li>
    		<li><strong>Use CSS classes too:</strong><br /><code><div class=&quot;temp&quot;>High of <span class=&quot;temphigh&quot;>%%high%%</span><br />Low of <span class=&quot;templow&quot;>%%low%%</span></div></code> <em>outputs as:&nbsp;</em> <div class="temp">High of <span class="temphigh">85</span><br />Low of <span class="templow">55</span></div></li>

    	<h4>Using the <code>[forecast]</code> Shortcode</h4>

    	<p>If you're a maniac for shortcodes, and you want all control all the time, this is a good way to use it.</p>

    	<p><code>[forecast location="Tokyo, Japan" caption="Weather for Tokyo" measurement='F' todaylabel="Today" datelabel="date('m/d/Y')" highlow='%%high%%&deg;/%%low%%&deg;' numdays="3" iconset="Cartoon" class="css_table_class" cache="true" width="100%"]</code></p>

    	<p><strong>The shortcode supports the following settings:</strong></p>
    	<ul>
    		<li><code>location="Tokyo, Japan"</code> - Use any city/state combo or US/Canada ZIP code
    		</li><li><code>caption="Weather for Tokyo"</code> - Add a caption to your table (it's like a title)
    		</li><li><code>measurement='F'</code> - Choose Fahrenheit or Celsius by using "F" or "C"
    		</li><li><code>datelabel="date('m/d/Y')"</code> - Format the way the days display ("9/30/2012" in this example)
    		</li><li><code>todaylabel="Today"</code> - Format how today's date appears ("Today" in this example)
    		</li><li><code>highlow='%%high%%&deg;/%%low%%&deg;'</code> - Format how the highs & low temps display ("85&deg;/35&deg;" in this example)
    		</li><li><code>numdays=3</code> - Change the number of days displayed in the forecast. Up to 6 day forecast.
    		</li><li><code>iconset="Cartoon"</code> - Choose your iconset from one of 10 great options
    		</li><li><code>cache="true"</code> - Whether to cache forecast results. Use <code>0</code> to disable (not recommended).
    		</li><li><code>width="100%"</code> - Change the width of the forecast table

    This is fixed in version 1.2.5.1. Thanks for letting me know!

    Updated the plugin and it still does not work 🙁

    The output is likely cached. Try adding cache=false to the shortcode.

    Hey Zack, where is the short code located. how long does it usually cache it for? Thx, great plug in

    The Upgrade works. When you upgrade to the new Version 1.2.5.1, it takes about a day for the old one to get out of the system (cached) so just upgrade the plugin & you can take the widget out of use for a day. If you don’t want it to display text only. Then just put the widget back in your panel.

    I am having the same problem – upgraded to new Version 1.2.5.1 and the latest WordPress after not updating for awhile, and now the WUnderground icons don’t work. I took the Widget offline and will wait a day to see if it starts working. If it doesn’t, I’ll come back here and look for help. I love this plugin!

    After update to latest version, I had to save setting without cachings the forecast (at the bottom). Now several days later, have the setting checked and everything seems to be work. So, try that change first.

    Your tips worked. I am up and running already, about 6 hours after I started having the problems.

    No need to wait for the cache to refresh or turn it off. After update just load your site with ?cache at the end of the address – like http://wordpress.org/?cache

    That will force plugin to reload the weather table and recache it.

    thanks a bundle. Working fine now again.
