    Hi There,
I would like to set up a number of rss feeds on my blogsite (so that people can subscribe to what I'm saying) including things like:

    add to google
    add to yahoo
    my msn
    my aol
    newsgator
    newsburst
    bloglines
    twitter

etc and I haven't got a clue how to do this (I'm very NEW).
I've searched the wordpress instructions but I'm even more confused now after reading them because I just haven't got any experience to decipher what's even being said (not that I'm a complete dumb dumb you understand!).

Can someone give me 1, 2, 3 steps or something!!!
    I would appreciate
    Gayle

    Samboll
You'll have to forgive me for being such a Double Whammy NEW Newbie!

I am presuming the first link is to the website where I can download the plugin and the second link tells me how to import it into word press... (please correct me if I am wrong - coz no-one else will!!)

    My next question(s) is(are):
    1. When i go to google for others - what am i actually asking for (ie am i googling for plugins/subscriptions - what? - sorry but I have no idea WHAT TO GOOGLE !!)

    2. Am I able to put rss feeds on my website and could I use the same plugin as per the first link?
(I dont know if this is a valid question for you but I thought I would try my luck!)

    - my blogsite is now a part of my top level navigation in http://fengshui.com.au - so I was wanting to send rss feeds to the website as well as the blog site.

    Thank you
    Gayle

    Hi,
Both links are for plugins to do what you want to accomplish - read the documentation on the websites and in the downloads to see which will suit you better.

    I googled for you. :>)
    http://www.crwebtools.com/auto_rss_importer.php

here is a way to do it manually

Basically, take your time - test them for your wants.

    Hi Samboll,
Do these things also work on a normal website? (ie a non wordpress site?) and can you recommend a place I can go read and learn about it a little.

Am just implementing the bits and pieces you gave me now.

    Thank you
    Gayle

    No they dont.

and can you recommend a place I can go read and learn about it a little.

read and learn about what? wordpress? how about the docs? how about the various FAQs?

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page
    http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_New_To_WordPress
    http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ

How about the links he provided above?

Theres plenty to read -- you just have to click away.
