Simple Page Sidebars
[resolved] I would like to add more custom sidebars? (5 posts)

    Hello!

I was looking for a pluging that allows me to add more custom sidebars, I thought the purpose of this plugin was to do exactly just that?

I installed it and it works fine, but the Widget Area widget doesn't seem to allow me to add more customized sidears.

    How can I achieve this?

    Hi bassa,

I'm not sure if you've worked out your issue yet or not. You can add additional sidebars with this plugin, but you need to do it when editing a page.

The Widget Area widget is for including other sidebars within another sidebar, not for creating new sidebars.

Let me know if that doesn't help.

    Hi Brady!

Thanks for taking the time to clarify. What I need, though, is a plugin for creating custom sidebars that can be attached to custom pages.

I'll let you know if I need help with this.

    Thank you.

Bassa - I think this plugin will work for your needs once you figure out how to use it. It's not terribly intuitive, but take a look at the screenshots they provided and that will help.

Also, if you are using a theme built on the Genesis Framework, there's a plugin called Genesis Simple Sidebars that works similar to this, but is a bit more intuitive.

However, this one is great if you need to apply your new sidebar to multiple pages at once!
