I found this to be a great start on a plugin but needed much more.

    1) It needed a progress bar because end users would cancel the upload thinking the system had stalled

    2) It needed a captcha because unless you hide the page from search engines it gets spammed multiple times a day on any site with any traffic. Even hiding the page I was getting spam submissions daily.

    3) you can only upload one file at a time.

I solved this issue and developed a new plugin I call Real FTP Upload and a description of it can be found here:

I have tested it on several wordpress installs and found no issues. Works perfectly.

  • muskokamark has built a promising plugin that you should check out at his site. I just bought it last week. I have an open issue I’m trying to resolve, but others seeking support appear to have good experience, and apparently many experience no issues at all. I can confirm that the front-end looks pretty good, and the ftp and notification functionality worked.
