I have several people registering on my site and I have no idea why
Can they cause problems on the site for me, I have been deleting anyone who registers but that is getting a little tedious, is there anything to do. I am getting a little concerned about this.

    all suggestions would be appreicated.

Not if they are only registered as Subscribers. If you want to stop people registering, navigate to Settings -> General and uncheck "Anyone can register".

Go to Settings>General then untick the "Anyone can register on my site" button.

They can't do anything horrible, it simply means there username, email, etc are saved for comments, unless you upgrade them. At least I believe that is all there is.

By default they will be a Subscriber: http://codex.wordpress.org/Roles_and_Capabilities
