   I am not able to reduce the padding of the
   Navigation menu. Its really annoying me . when i hover the near the menu, the links activate. What i want is to fix a height of the menu items ... i have set hover { background : #000000; } and when i hover over the menu items it look too awkward. Please help. I am thinking to quit this. Damn i think i m not made for this..

   i don't know but i want to decrease the height of the menu bar.

   Have you tried decreasing the line height of each menu item (anchor tags) ?

   Thanks a lot you solved the problem. I was so much frustrated that i forgot to use the line-height :P thanks a lot.
