   I have site.com as a podcast and I want to use site.com/blog as a daily blog. Blog entries are category 6 and they are already excluded from the main site.com index.php.

   I want only the daily blog entries to show up on site.com/blog

   How can I apply category-6.php to this page?

   the keywords in your post title were 'page' and 'template'.
