Support » Fixing WordPress » I want to list links to all posts in a select category on a WP Page.

  • This seems like an easy solution, but I just can’t find the answer anywhere (at least one that works).

On my WP Blog I want to have a Page that I can have a text paragraph and then insert some code that will display links (in alphabetical order) to all the posts from a certain Category.

I have seen some plugins that can do this on one page and one category, but I will have a few different pages each needing to show links to their corresponding categories.

I have also seen some code that appears to work in the sidebar/templates, but not code that I can enter directly into the Page.

Please help and thanks in advance!

    Greg

  • Wrong approach. You don’t need Pages for that. Pages are not meant to display posts.

What you use in cases like that: Category_Templates and edit them in any way you want.

I was hoping to still have my “category” page show the titles and excerpts to the posts, while having another page just show the titles linking to the posts(along with additional text).

I guess worse case I can use your suggestion and make due.

    Thanks,
