    Hi there
I'm really new to WordPress.org, and am stumberling through the whole set up... I'm getting close to how I want my site to look (using the Minimalist 1 theme, see my site http://www.lumaville.com) but want to alter the look of the pages when they posts/catagories. Basically I've changed the catagories text in the menu to now read as 'work', and created post with my work on them, which are labelled under their own individual catagories (so they all sit nicely under the 'work' headind in the menu).
Please forgive me if this is not the correct way of setting this type of thing up, but it works for me. What I want to do now is remove the links/text at the top and bottom of the page:
'News for the ‘alexandra groover’ Categoryalexandra groover'
'Permanent Link' (at the top of the post) and the
    'Posted: May 16th, 2011'
    'Categories: alexandra groover'
    'Tags:'
'Comments: No Comments.' (at the bottom of the page).

You'll be able to see what I mean if you visit the page...

can anyone help me with this?

    Thanks in advance.

  2. You need to remove those bits from the template file. Look for a file called "category.php" or "archive.php" or "index.php" inside your theme folder. It will be in one of those files and should be really easy to find. Just delete the code that displays those bits.

    Hi there

I can't seem to get the hang of stripping out the code... and I've actually got another question, but maybe its for a new forum...
my new quiery is.... rather than having posts which are organised under the catagories heading (which I've changed to read WORK), should I instead actually create a few new pages and have these under appear in the menu organised under a different heading... (as I've done with my main pages)

  4. It depends on what you wish to do. If these "WORK" items are static (not changing), then make them pages. If you are adding new items to the Work category, then use the category.
