    Hi everybody,

I have a wp-website for which I use the elegant grunge theme. I have several pages (home, about, services etc.). For one of these pages I want to have a sidebar with categories. But when I choose "pages with sidebar" (appearance -> elegant grunge -> page setup) it shows the sidebar on EVERY page. I only want to have it on ONE page. When I create a new page I can only choose "page with no sidebar", "Default Template"' "links"' "page with custom sidebar" (page attributes). That's also not what I want, since I can't add categories when I choose the "page with custom sidebar".

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks, Jennie

You could try creating your own custom page template with its own sidebar.

Well, that's a good idea but unfortunately I have zero html knowledge :o(

Have you tried using the "page with custom sidebar" template?

yes, I can choose it when I create a new page but I don't know how I get the categories in this custom sidebar. I will probably have to change the page-custom-sidebar.php (appearance -> editor -> templates). But I have no clue how to do that.
