• Hi,
In version 0.6.2 of b2, the admin can set a AutoBR flag. This feature is gone in WordPress 0.7. I really hate AutoBR because it forces me to format the message myself. If I have an URL in my post, it’s impossible to format things nicely myself. Please put AutoBR back!
Well, at least don’t remove it permanently! Right now, at least I can just use “$br=0” in the 2nd parameter to the wpautop() function in “b2include/b2functions.php” and disable AutoBR when viewing my posts.

  • Hi,
Come to think of it, it is kind of confusing to have to deal with the AutoBR flag. I’m not sure what’s the current development plan for it. If the plan is to have AutoBR always on, I would like to make a suggestion to have AutoBR always off and use the TeX/LaTeX convention to determine when to add a , i.e., when you see to consecutive “\n” in a post, you can convert it to a or a <br>&nbsp;<br>.
    Thanks for your attention!
