I created some pages and the first one I named HOME. I was able to customize the menu so it shows as the first item. I have WP in the root and the home page is page ID=2. How do I make the home page I created the 'root' home page too?

Set the page as your static front page
Don't forget to make a new page for your blog posts, and set that as your posts page

Posted 8 months ago #Do you have to have a blog post page? This is going to be a static site and not one that has comments (I already commented that out in page.php for the theme being used.

No, if you don't want a page for blog posts, you can leave that setting blank.
