I am working LOCALLY with WordPress 2.7.1. I downloaded and extracted themes. I then moved the main extracted folder to my WordPress folder wp-content/themes folder. When I go to the "appearance" link I do not see the theme. What am I doing wrong? I have spent all day on this.

I unzipped some themes and moved to wp-content but they do not show up (5 posts)

Posted 3 years ago #I have the same problem. I uploaded themes to wp-content/themes but when I'm in the site admin under presentation-themes, the ones i uploaded are not there.

And made sure you don't have "nested folders" as in wp-content/themes/themefolder/themefolder/themefiles? -
