I Think I Am Hacked (3 posts)

It all started a few months ago when I noticed that my major site on wordpress is no longer generating revenues as before. I then contacted the Affiliate manager but he said everything looks fine. Unique hits tripled but no sales.

Later I was contacted by my hosting service that their server has been overloaded with a script from my site and the mysql server too was almost bursting and I should do something or my account will be deleted.

I re-installed the wordpress but made sure I deleted all the folders except the images.

It all went well until I started to see comments even though I disabled it. I enabled the "You must be logged in to comment" Yet somebody seems to pass through.

These guys are driving me crazy.

Does anybody know how I can solve this situation?

How can I find out if my database has been hacked, or where if any a script has been secretly installed.

My blog has more than 1000 posts.

    I NEED HELP!

    Thanks.

Thanks Songdogtech, I tried everything I could but to no avail. What I did was that I migrated to another hosting service but looks as if the database as well as some vital files were corrupted.

Therefore I asked for the services of the technical team of the new hosting and they did a fantastic job. They succeeded to remove all the malwares installed, redirect scripts which are difficult to locate and injected codes to the plugins.

Now I am happy because my sites are now functioning as before. I think I will think twice in future before I take up any offer of unlimited hosting even if it is from a friend. I wrote a post about this at The Dangers Of Free Web Hosting with the intention that maybe it might help others not to make the same mistakes I made by getting a free hosting through a friend.

Thank you all for your help. I really appreciate it.
