I still have problems with visual styles (12 posts)

    Hi!

I had problems with 3.4.1: visual styles. The login page looked different; the fields appeared at left on the page. The window for composing new posts didn't work with HTML formatting.

Later, 3.4.2 arrived and fixed the problems.

Curiously, yesterday I had to set a new blog and those problems came back. Of course it is a 3.4.2 version. A clean installation, no plugins, nothing.

Does the bug still persist? What should we do?

    Thank you.

There is no bug such as you speak of. What browser are you using? and is it happening in all browsers? what type of server are you on also? and can you provide a link or a screenshot?

    Hi.

    digitalbooklovers.com

If you go to /wp-admin, you'll see what I mean.

And there's no visual styles when composing new post.

This is a fresh installation. No new themes, no plugins.

The bug from 3.4.1 is back here.

    Hosting account: Mochahost.

    Installed via Softaculous.

Considering I had this problems in my other WP blogs and they were fixed when upgraded to 3.4.2, I've just DOWNgraded this installation to 3.4.1 and then upgraded automatically to 3.4.2. It didn't work.

    =======

Sorry, I forgot to say that the bug happens in all browsers and different computers.

    Have you tried:

    - deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    - switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    - resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    - re-uploading all files & folders - except the wp-content folder - from a fresh download of WordPress.

It's a fresh installation. No posts, no plugins, no new themes.

I don't see a reason to try all of this. By the way, I tried all of this in my other blogs when I had 3.4.1 and it did not work.

Have you checked your server's error logs for clues?

This new bug is a ghost haunting me since many months ago. I'm too upset. Lots of days and nights lost with this.

This is not a WordPress bug. It is specific to your site(s).

Maybe the cause of this is SOFTACULOUS.

Coincidence or not, my blogs installed via Softaculous had this problem; the only one I installed manually was always OK.

It's a new blog, so I'll delete it and retry manually.

Thank you for your attention. :-)

Problem suddenly back in 2 of my 3 blogs. This is an old nightmare. It must be a WordPress bug. I search the web and find "billions" of users complaining about the same problem.

By the way, it's happening in a NEW WP installation. No posts, no plugins -- really NEW.
