• I am not a programmer and normally has someone who does all of this for me. However, after a blogging conference, I took it upon myself to download Jetpack but since then, I cannot access my site from the admin side. I see the URL at the top of the page but the screen is white. When I go to my site it still exists, but I cannot get past the white page. I tried opening my site in chrome to change things up and it said it is either down for maintenance or not configured correctly.

What did I do and what do I do?

    Thank you!

  • Delete the plugin. Use FTP/ cPanel to do so. You will be able to access your dashboard after that.

Thank you Krishna–but how do I even get into my site at all?

Can you login to your hosting account? Or do you have access to your hosting account via FTP? You can delete the plugin there.

If it’s the Jetpack plugin that’s causing the problem them try these steps.

    1. Using FTP or whatever filemanagement tools your host has provided you with navigate to the wp-content/plugins directory.
    2. Once there locate and delete the jetpack directory. Just that one directory and nothing else.
    3. Try and re-login to your WordPress dashboard.

See if that works for you.
