Thanks for your message Belbo – however I can’t even get into the site to administer it now it keeps coming up with :

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /homepages/15/d460649036/htdocs/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/widget-logic/widget_logic.php(286) : eval()’d code:1) in/homepages/15/d460649036/htdocs/wordpress/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 900

So now I am stuck – the site is live but the front page main image is wrong and I can’t alter it as can’t get in???

  • Try this: Use your ftp client or the file manager in your hosts control panel to rename just the ‘widget-logic’ plugin folder, and see if that changes anything.

Thanks for answering me I can’t see a file manager in the control panel. really not having a very good weekend with this. Never used such a not so user friendly CMS – and I’ve used plenty of them!!!! I can’t get into anything to do with widgets now – hubby thinks that somebody has hacked in as it has got worse and worse!! I’ve got my friend up in Warrington who is working on the new site transfering all old text to the new website as fast as he possibly can and I’ve got all images and some I obtained from the old site and for the revision of it – when I could get in. People have been so lovely on here – just wish some of it worked! The guy doing it for who runs the academy has had a weekend of parties for his sons birthday oblvious of what is happening to me and my poor friend in Warrington!

I can’t see a file manager in the control panel

    Then use an FTP client.

Unfortunately I can’t even get past the sign in stage at all just errors all across the top of the page! 🙁 🙁 🙁

You do not need to log into WordPress for either of the options I suggested.

The file manager in your hosts control panel, is located in the control panel on the hosting account, not in the WordPress dashboard. You need to log into the hosting account (wherever the site is hosted) for access.

An FTP client is not part of WordPress. It is a tool for uploading, downloading, and manipulating files by accessing them directly from the server.
