   I'm not sure if i need to enter the plugins land or if i should do it directly on the theme.
   I need to build an extensible tree menu, using JQuery, to put on the sidebar.

   Check out the new Custom Menus in WordPress 3.0. They won't don't exactly what you're talking about, but they may suffice.
