I need to change my Username

    Hi

    This is a questions addressed to the forum’s admins.

    when I joined this forum, back in 2009, I’ve registered with a username (FMacastro), that for personal reasons I no longer wish to use.

    I’ve registered a new username (MAzCastro).

    It would be simple just to abandon the old one and start using the new.
    Indeed it would, but I’ve been more or less active in the forums, trying to help people around, and for professional reasons I don’t want to loose that historic.

    Can some admin help me? (like just edit the user name directly in the db, that would solve it, I guess)

    This would make me very happy!

    I’m not sure that we can actually do this, though you might have an option in your profile for how to display your name.

    I just chose your “alternate” name in the Display name dropdown of your profile.

    yes I see esmi!

    I’d already tried that and it didn’t work, or perhaps since it didn’t change in the profile header I just assumed it didn’t work at all!

    Anyway, I’m very happy, as I promised.
