• I was hoping the root folder to start searching could be above the WordPress root. I have a hostmonster account I’ve been uploading images to for years. I added WordPress a level down which means none of those images can be reached.

Clearly I need to check my options for installing wordpress at the top level but I’d love if I could enter a location whether http or ftp with login information.

Thank you for four stars. 😉
If your images are above the web root, you could try to enter something like ../images/ for your images folder.

Yeah I thought about that later but it won’t let me change it now which probably makes sense. I’ll try uninstalling (fingers crossed) and reinstalling with the up folder reference to see what it does. If it works it’s gonna have a real hobby.

For simplicity it can’t be beat! A tad more documentation would be nice.

    Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the compliments and for trying the beta version. Documentation will soon be available on the plugin website http://brimosoft/eazyest/gallery/

Okay. I’ve tried placing the root gallery folder all over the place but it’s not moving where this thing searches. Can you include a setting for the root of your wordpress site? I know almost nobody will want that but I do. 🙂

At a minimum would it be possible to let me know where to modify the code and I’ll have to remember when you make upgrades?

beta-4 should show all folders from your server root and above.

I’ve got beta-5 loaded now. It won’t let me change the gallery folder I had set before. Can’t tell yet if it’s going to work.

    Keep plugging!

If you have posts type galleryfolder in your database, Eazyest Gallery won’t let you change the root folder anymore, because all links would be invalid.

I figured that out and deleted the gallery folder. I set the gallery to appear at /eazygallery which put it at the same level as all my folders full of pictures. Still did not find them.

You may need to download trunk version because of a slight error in the auto-index script
