• Hi all,

I m in great trouble, I just tried to put a code of a plugin in my theme but it led to crashing my website. There is coming an error and I m unable to go to my website and even my admin login page.

I m very much worried about it….I dont know what to do…how to do.
Does anybody know what to do???how to restore my theme and website…what is the wayout???Plz plz help meeeee

-try switching to the default theme (“twentyten”) for a moment by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes. The idea is to force WordPress to fall back to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific issue. If this resolve the problem, you can get into your admin…

If you don’t have access to your admin area, then access your server via FTP or SFTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

Whats if I delete my existing theme in wp-content/themes and upload the same theme(by searching through net) at p-content/themes location via FTP.

Do you think it would help or would be more problem-some? Actually now i m scared to touch anything at my host control panel. If someone could help me it would be a great blessing for me…

Try what you intend to do (make backup copy so you dont’ lose your customizations). If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the default “twentyten” as I suggested above.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

-If the above step does not resolve the issue, Download WordPress again and replace your copies of everything EXCEPT the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory with fresh copies. This should replace your core files without changing your content and settings in wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory.

ftp into the site and delete the plugin
