I lost my site administrator privileges (1 post)

    I get this message on the top WordPress 3.0.1 is available! Please notify the site administrator.

    I can get into my cpanel database but can not upgrade or add plug ins etc. can anyone help with this, i am new to wordpress and computers, thanks
