   I' using Atahualpa theme 344, I chnage something on the footer and when I updated the info my page disappeard I need some help please anyone.

   Re-upload the original Atahualpa theme to themes folder.

   if he/she does that it will wipeout all customizations..only the footer was changed....

    pilsen - when you edit a file, use a text editor with an undo feature. I use textpad and edit directly on the server...when i screw up I just undo and resave on the server....keeping backups is a good idea too!

    look for something like this:
    /public_html/blog/wp-content/themes/Atahualpa
    or
    /public_html/wordpress/wp-content/themes/Atahualpa

    so I have to put gevastation.com/public_html/blog/wp-content/themes/atahualpa.
    I'm using filezilla is that what I write on the host? and the my log in and password?

    Ok I go to the Atahualpa folder

    yes you will need to login thru filezilla to access your FTP server.
    you can type in /public_html/blog/wp-content/themes/atahualpa or just navigate as you would in windows explorer.

    once you get to the atahualpa folder, look for the file called footer.php..this is the file you want to replace. you can download a fresh version of atahualpa to get a clean footer.php if you don't have it on your hard drive...does that make sense?

    ps. the address depends on whether you renamed the wordpress folder...so it could be /public_html/wordpress/wp-content/themes/atahualpa

    Ok this is what I got so far I'm at the Atahualpa theme folder, when I opene it I have sub folder (in order of appearance)Functions/Images/JS/Options.
    Ok so on the main folder Atahualpa there is footer.php. that has the icon of a camera when I press to open it it tries to open with some windows picture program.
    What you are saying is that I have to opne replace that with a new one?

    Ok after I tried to open it again I get the option to discard local file then download and edit file anew should I do that?

    Sorry I'm asking so many question but I don't want to screw it up even more
