I lose embedded YouTube code when I save drafts (4 posts)

I blog for a site that is on version 2.7-RC2. I do not control the site. I am new to WordPress. I run the 64 bit version of Windows 7 and the 64 bit version of either Google Chrome or IE. When I try to embed a YouTube video in my draft, I use the "old embed code". I insert it directly into the HTML window. The yellow flash box DOES appear in the "VISUAL" tab, but as soon as I save the draft, the embed code disappears and so does the yellow box. Other users of the site have no problem saving embedded YouTube code. Does anyone have any idea why I am having this problem?

I know we are on an older version of WordPress, but I cannot change that, and since other users have no problem, that doesn't seem to be the problem anyway. I appreciate any suggestions. Thank you

Don't switch editing tabs. If you use the HTML tab, you must stick to that tab.

Thank you for the response. I did try doing everything within the HTML tab, but it didn't help.

WordPress removes iframe when you switch from "HTML" to "Visual" tab in your editor because of the security reasons.
If you simply want to embed iframe into post you can install iframe plugin and paste this shortcode into content: [iframe width="640" height="480" src="http://player.vimeo.com/video/3261363"].
More info about embeding iframe into post content.
