I just downloaded 3.3.1 and now my site wont work. how can i go back to the older version. or is there a solution to this? now i cant upload pictures to my post and my admin widget sidebar is frozen

Unless you've made a full file and database backup and know how to restore it, then moving back could be difficult.
What's the error message you are getting if any? And have you tried switching to the Twenty Eleven theme and deactivating all of your plugins?

I am having this issue with two sites that i have upgraded to the latest version. They are still showing but the backend just disappears completely when I upgrade.Is there a fix for this yet or will I have to copy a previous version of WordPress across to fix it?
I can't access the dashboard so it is impossible to reset the template etc.
Any thoughts?

i have not made a full backup and i dont know how to do it. so am i just stuck with this version? i cant even upload new post. and my widgets are not accessible to me.

Try:
- switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme's folder in wp-content/themes and adding "-old" to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.- resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.
- re-uploading all files & folders - except the wp-content folder - from a fresh download of WordPress.

wow.. i will try that.. but im afraid to lose all of my content. will my content be safe if i switch from the theme i have to twenty eleven

Looks like you missed some files. Delete the wp-admin & wp-includes folders and then re-upload the fresh copies.

I'm sorry but it sounds like you either didn't use a fresh download of WP, you had the bad luck to download a corrupted version (in which case, try another download) or you're not uploading all of the files & folders.

i left out the wp admin and the wp includes folders. but it still wont work.. im in my file manager and uploading them one by one

Sure, but it's unclear: did you re-upload all of the WordPress files including wp-admin and wp-includes?
Don't leave them or any of the files out, upload all the files and directories from the extracted zip file on top of anything that's there already.

yes i have.. after i did it wrong the first time. i just tried to upload the entire file in my cpanel. i went to the upload tab, then uploaded the file.
P.S. what u mean by dont bump?

i clicked on the link you provided.. compressed the folder into a zip file. uploaded it in my cpanel. and it still says error.

Uh? No - you need to unpack the downloaded archive and upload all files & folders - except the wp-content folder - to your site via FTP or cPanel's File Manager.

do i do this one by one after i unpack the file? ive done it and i still get the error message... if i can get this fixed i just will not upgrade to other versions.. is there way i can skype and share my screen with a moderator? ive been trying to fix this all last night and all day today..
