   Hi Everyone, I hope someone has an answer. I have set registration OFF in both WP and PHP and I am still getting the spammer registrations. How is that? I am getting them daily now.

   Please advise.

   The only registration form that I can see on your site is for WPStoreCart user registrations - is this what you're referring to? If so, you'll need to change a setting for that plugin, or remove the widget from your footer.

   You know what I will go look at that as I was simply testing a cart and I will find out if registration is for the store or the blog and post what I find here :)

   Phen- it appears that they are registering for my BLOG not the wpstore.

   IE: New user registration on your site The Fly On The Wall | A little bit of humor topped with posts on saving money, reviews.:

   Now I think they are going straight to a register page such as: http://the-fly-on-the-wall.com/wp-register.php which states it is disabled but some how these spammers are still registering, I just got another one. So they are registering some how.

   Any other ideas? PS I did remove the testing store buttons :)

   When I go to your registration page, it redirects to http://the-fly-on-the-wall.com/wp-login.php?registration=disabled and tells me that 'user registration is not allowed'.

   So, at a quick glance it appears that things are working as they should. Have you changed anything inbetween your last post and now?

   Phen-Yes, that is correct. It is already disable and shows disabled however these losers are STILL registering on my blog. No I haven't changed anything in between last post and this post :) That's why I'm confused. It is disabled, shows disabled, yet they can still register????

   Do you have bbPress installed at all? A bit of Googling shows me that some people have experieneced what you're describing because of bbPress.

   If not, then I'd suggest looking at each of your plugins to see if one of them allows registrations. You could try deactivating all your plugins to see if that solves the issue, and then turning them on one-by-one to see which one's the culprit.

   can try the bad behaviour plugin also.....

   Phen, no I do not have bbPress installed. Also, I understand what you are saying about the plugins. However, I personally cannot recreate how these bozo's are still registering so how would I test each pluggin? I would have to wait between each pluggin for a long period of time to see if some spammer signed up.

   Errr, this is frustrating. I guess about my only option is to review each plugin and see if it states that it allows registration and see what I come up with.

    Hi - I have exactly the same problem - MU registration disabled and yet spammers still creating blogs.

    I am running WP 3.04
    No BP.

    @Klutzys1 would you like to compare plugins and see if we both have something the same?
