Hi. So I have almost over 300 articles and want to change the permalink structure so I "have" to get this right. If I change it within the wordpress admin panel, will the old permalinks automatically have 301 redirects?
Is there any plugin I should use or any further steps? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks,
What Permalink style have you been using?
If you have been using the Default style, those links will always work, regardless of what the new style is.
However, if you're changing from one "pretty" style to another, then you'll need some help -- WP won't handle it automagically. I think there are some permanent redirect type plugins over in the Extend section of the site though.

"Automatically add a 301 redirection when a post's URL changes"
a very good plugin

Here's an example:

People told me it would look suspicious to bots so I want to change the windows-7-news part to just news, or maybe use a date instead.
