I have no idea if I'm doing something completely wrong but I've never been able to get a single plug-in working with WordPress on my Mac.

Tried "All in One SEO Pack", installed, activated, filled in all the info on the configuration screen, but it wont update to the website.

Tried "WPtouch", installed, activated, filled in all the info on the settings screen, but it wont update to the website.

I am running MAMP and am able to add pages/content/images etc to my website, but when it comes to plug-ins it just update the website with the info from the plug-in.

    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

Install the plugins on your site - not on your local server.

Just to note it seems that it doesnt matter if I run MAMP or not my website still updates itself (but not with any plug-ins) so I'm not sure if I've done something wrong in the initial install process.
When I installed it, I did it using the SOFTACULOUS method.

Your web site has nothing to do with your Mac.

Your web site has nothing to do with your Mac.

I understand this, but the installation method was a lot different to the Windows installation method. It was a lot more complicated.

Anyone out there doing this on a Mac that has some suggestions?
