I have lost all functionality of the site emailing people. Contact form doesn't work, confirm user registration doesn't work, lost password function doesn't work etc..
I have tried disabling all my plugins and this has no effect.
Can someone please help?

Have you checked that your email address is till working? Or spoken to your hosts about possible email problems?
