    Hey everyone,

First off thanks for reading :)
I have a regular single-wp install running with bp in it.
I'd like to offer my users the blog/site functionality, can i just activate multisite?

    WP 3.2.1
    BP 1.5

    Thanks in advance!
    Cheers,
    Aron

Yes, but turn off BP for the install, then turn it back on either network wide..

    Ipstenu,

Thanks for your SUPER fast reply!
Thats great, I assume that all BP plugins need to be network-wide activated as well?

    Thanks!

Yes, but most of them won't let you NOT network activate them so you're okay with that.

Ipstenu, ( or anyone that can help me! )

I just enabled Multisite. I've added a new blog but when i visit the link it shows me an error page Problem Loading Page.

If i look in the Network Dashboard i see the site but it points to the main install - Dashboard points to the main Dash and Visit points to the main Site.......

    Anyone know what causes this?
    Cheers,
    Aron

If you picked subdomains, you need to have them enabled on the servers, as explained here:

    Andrea,

It is enabled on my server - I have another setup running which works perfectly.

I noticed that there are also no settings when i try to edit the site.
Could this be a database error?

    THanks for your quick response!
    Cheers,
    Aron

Then it's not enabled for that folder specifically. And on some hosts they only let you have it on the root domain of the web account.

No, it's not a db error, unless the tables were not all created.

    Andrea,

    Thanks for your reply!
I've changed the settings to subfolder which worked great.

Still, i cannot reach the new blog - On the admin panel it again leads to my main Dashboard of my install, and if i try to edit the settings it only allows me to increase upload quota...

There's no other settings like there should be - The main install has settings though.

Also, if i visit the new blog it DOES give me a database error.

Im really confused here, been doin WP stuff for over 5 yrs now this never happened :O

    CHeers,

Did you actually go *look* in the database and see if the tables were created or not?

    Andrea,

After re-installing the network all is good now!
I think it did not create the tables the first time ;)

    Thanks for your support!
    Cheers,
    Aron
