I F'd up my journal trying to move it (15 posts)

I tried to move my blog to another folder on my server, I have done this several times before without a problem. Someone I did not want to know the address any longer was giving me some trouble so moving it was really my only option.

I first set a new directory for the journal in the wp-admin options and after i set the directory from soundwise.org/mylifeintext/ to soundwise.org/come%20and%20get%it/ I moved the files over, except images since they are linked using the old address path.

The site works now just fine, only I can't log into the dashboard. It kept trying to redirect to soundwise.org/come20and20get20it/ changing spaces (%20) into plain 20 dropping the %.

I copied everything everything from the "new" directory and made a "newer" on named soundwise.org/come20and20get20it/

Now when I try to log in, it just keeps going to http://www.soundwise.org/come%20and%20get%20it/wp-login.php?redirect_to=%2Fcome20and20get20it%2Fwp-admin%2F

Is there a file I can manipulate to make everything go to the right folder and have the administration panel work again? This should be really simple only I have this way of making things really difficult.

    Thanks for your help.

Clear your browser's cookies and cache. If that doesn't help, you may have to correct your siteurl and home values in the database via phpmyadmin. More info: http://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/site-url/

well everything was working just fine but now when i tried to delete an entry, this popped up

    Not Found
The requested URL /come20and20get20it/wp-admin/edit.php was not found on this server.

it still deleted the entry however... how is this?

i can post just fine, only when i delete does that happen.

It looks like there's a conflict with %20. Since you're in a moving mood, you may want to consider a new directory name, either with underscores or just a single word.

When you get around to it,
    delete the user known as:

    wordpress
    an e-mail with

    pigeon coop

in the address. That was me registering
and logging in to make sure I wasn't full of baloney.

    Good luck!

So i fixed everything. The move is a little more tricky than the webpage lists out. You have to change things beyond just the one directory because it is in there in so many different forms. I think I counted 4 totally forms

    come and get it
    come%20and%20get%20it
    come20and20get20it
    come+and+get+it

Finally I got everything moved over and this time, no spaces! haha.

Word for the wise, stay away from spaces, use underscores.

I would like to thank, again, all those that helped me. I would have been totally lost without your help.

Come back and pass it on when you can.
