I know that wordpress automatically send a confirmation email to new users that registered at the site. However I dont want that, what should I do to stop this?

there's a checkbox that can be checked or unchecked. they can decide if they want the email, and if you are signing them up you can decide.
i am sure there is a hack, no doubt. idk it, but i am wondering why the checkbox doesn't negate the issue?
There's no checkbox for this... sorry can you please tell me the exact location of this checkbox? Im using 3.2.1, thanks!
Sorry for this stupid question...
it's not a checkbox that turns the whole feature off, it is on the signup page. so for each user that signs up they would uncheck it.
it's labelled "Send Password" , but it controls the email itself.
if you don't have it, idk why. but here is a google search for:

the first link is a plugin, which should work. but there are others as well. it's probably semi-common.
