    Hello,
I know that wordpress automatically send a confirmation email to new users that registered at the site. However I dont want that, what should I do to stop this?
Im ready to hack into the core files.

    Thanks very much!

there's a checkbox that can be checked or unchecked. they can decide if they want the email, and if you are signing them up you can decide.

i am sure there is a hack, no doubt. idk it, but i am wondering why the checkbox doesn't negate the issue?

it's not a checkbox that turns the whole feature off, it is on the signup page. so for each user that signs up they would uncheck it.

it's labelled "Send Password" , but it controls the email itself.

if you don't have it, idk why. but here is a google search for:

    wordpress disable signup email

the first link is a plugin, which should work. but there are others as well. it's probably semi-common.
