I don't understand code

Am I doomed to not having a blog site? I am having so much trouble with it. Currently, an error message is appearing that says my cache is broken. Apparently this is due to the dates on my pages not coincideing with each other. When I try to investigate how to change the dates so that they are the same (today’s date), I can’t figure it out. I have tried to deactivate WP super cache but, it did not work. The message is still there.
Another major problem that I have is an image link within a post that needs to be edited. Everything that seems logical to try, (going into lnks, settings/media, permalinks)in order to edit or delete the image and the link have failed. The page that the link is located is a sticky
