    Hi guys and girls

I have inserted an image on one of my web pages and I want a webpage to pop up using the easy fancybox plugin. I did read the plugin support that says

"To make a website or HTML document open in an overlay, use the class "fancybox-iframe" for its link".

I am not sure exactly how to use this fancybox-iframe class. Can someone please tell me how I do this?

    Kind regards
    Lloyd

    Hi Lloyd,

You'll need to switch to the HTML tab when editing your post content. Then find the link that refers to the other website. It should be looking like

    <a href="http://your.ext/ernal/url">text or image here</a>

Now type in a class attribute so it looks like:

    <a href="http://your.ext/ernal/url" class="fancybox-iframe">text or image here</a>

Next save and make sure you have activated the iFrame feature on Settings > Media.

Now visit the post/page on your site, test the link and it should work :)

    Hi Ravan

Thanks for the reply I got it working. I have one small other issue. Everytime the pop up opens the close button in the top right hand corner moves inwards and does not stay at the corner.

It seems like when the pop up opens a white box appears like normal then just before the image appears the box widens slightly for some reason.

Do you know why it could be doing that?

    Regards
    Lloyd

Hi Lloyd, it might be a CSS problem. Or a javascript problem. Hard to say really without seeing it live. You can try switching off all fancy transition effects by setting transition to Fade. If that solves the issue, try other settings to see what works best for your taste while still keeping the close button where is should be.

    Hi Ravan

Thanks for replying to my previous questions. I have one little issue at the moment. I have attached a webpage link into an image and when I click on the image to open the link, the fancybox iframe opens however just before the webpage has finished loading it ends up opening the webpage on a new page and not in the fancybox popup.

Is there a reason why it wont open in the fancybox popup? Or is there a way to fix this?

    Kind regards
    Lloyd

Hi Lloyd, maybe you have an analytics plugin with external link tracking enabled?

I have done all this but when I click on the link, all I get is a swirling loading image... the only way I have been able to get it to work is by having it autoload the iframe link, which unfortunately is not what I'd like to happen. Page is here: http://getleasedtesting.com/?p=17 The link to activate the fancy box is " View Slideshow"

Hi Mindpigdotcom, my plugin is incompatible with all themes from Elegant Themes. They all have FanycBox already baked in and you cannot run two instances of (almost) the same script on one page. Or at least, you're sure to run into trouble at some point... See theme conflicts on http://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-fancybox/other_notes/
