I don’t have the option in my WordPress Back Office to “Add new theme”

    I am following a video from my sponsor/trainer that says to upload a new theme you have to login to your wordpress account click on appearence and click on “add new theme” so I can then upload a theme I have created… BUT I don’t have that option, the option to “ADD NEW THEME” is totally not there to click on. Can anyone help me?

    Is this a wordpress.com site or a self-hosted WordPress blog? You can’t add new themes to a wordpress.com site – only chose from the 60 themes available.

    so I’m pretty sure that my site is a self-hosted wordpress blog considering I’m paying for hosting and have connected the name servers to that domain name. And I’m still don’t have the option to “add new theme”.

    I just spoke with Godaddy and they are hosting it. So now what?

    Have you looked in the Admin/Appearance sub-menu?

    Alternatively you can get FTP information for your site, and manually upload your theme to the wp-content/themes/ folder using a program like FileZilla.

    This is just a quick workaround if you want to get your theme running ASAP.
