    I have a stunning for my blog and I'm so glad I found one that stands out from the crowd: http://www.thirdsectorlab.co.uk

    A friend of mine tried to widgetize the sidebar on my blog and he followed the instructions for doing so featured here: http://5thirtyone.com/discuss/topic/251

    The general instructions for setting up the blog are here:

    When I went into my WP admin I was faced with this message:

    No Sidebars Defined
    You are seeing this message because the theme you are currently using isn’t widget-aware, meaning that it has no sidebars that you are able to change. For information on making your theme widget-aware, please follow these instructions.

    Here’s the instructions: http://automattic.com/code/widgets/themes/

    I’m not entirely sure what’s gone wrong and how to either get my sidebar defined or get it widget enabled…can anyone help?

    Add the following to functions.php

    <?php
    if ( function_exists('register_sidebar') )
        register_sidebar();
    ?>

    Then in your sidebar add the following wherever you want the dynamic sidebar to begin:

    <?php if ( !function_exists('dynamic_sidebar') || !dynamic_sidebar() ) : ?>

    <?php endif; ?>

    That should do it
