   I'm new to this and somehow I deleted my main template index.php file.

   Can someone tell me how to retrieve it? Thanks,

   Download the theme files again? If it's a paid theme, write to the designer and ask - they should be able to replace it, I would think.

   You can't "retrieve" a deleted file. However - assuming you unarchived your theme to your system hard drive as you were supposed to do ... all you have to do is upload the copy on your drive the same way you uploaded the entire theme previously.
