I learned my lesson. The files are not transferable.

I have two totally separate blogs. A disney one and a portfolio one.

The disney one had a slightly messed up admin-write panel. So I copied some files from the root directory and wp-admin from my portfolio blog (which was working fine) into the disney one. Now, whenever I try to access the disney blog I get the portfolio one. I can't even access the disney's admin.

I know all my posts are still there.

    Any help?

    http://www.nicholasprada.com/blog (portfolio blog)
    http://www.cinemazement.com/blog (disney blog - the duplicate :o( )

Right now both of them are the same thing! :(

I have litarally no idea what to do.
I was thinking I should try and download WordPress 2.02 again and replace the files again on the disney one but I can't find the download link now that wordpress 2.03 appeared and even then I'm not sure what I'm doing.

Any help will be much appreciated.
I want my two cinemazement disney blog back up.
It has like 500 blog posts I don't want to lose :(

Not sure I understand, but I'll take a shot here: Try checking your wp-config.php(s) to verify they have the setting's needed for the respective blog.

okay I think that's it, yosemite!

In the wp-config.php I see what looks like the username for my portfolio blog.
Now I'll try to change it to the disney blog's.
    but it's barely recognizeable.
What appears to be the password in the wp-config looks scrambled, because I don't have any passwords that are just letters and numbers. I'll do a search of the WP forums to see if anyone knows how to edit the wp-config.php

If you or anyone else can still help, it would be MUCH appreciated.

    define('DB_PASSWORD',

I don't know how to find my DB_password
    I already found my ('DB_NAME',

I looked through my cpanel, but I'm not sure.

yeah I do have phpMyadmin, but I don't want to risk changing the password. I just want to find it. I followed some of the steps. Unfortunately the long string of characters that is my password on there isn't right...I contacted my webhost to see if there's a record of it somewhere. There's supposed to be a shorter version somewhere. I'll keep looking.

    Problem Solved!
I went to the Cpanel > MySQL

Copied all of the info there to wordpad just in case.

Scrolled down to the center of the page to the "Current Users" section. Deleted -myname_wrdp1 Then I re-created it in the two boxes below by entering wrdp1 and added my own new password.

    Once that was done...

I scrolled down a little more on the page and unified the username I had just created "myname_wrdp1" with the database that had the exact same name. I selected the "ALL" privaleges checkmark.

    This step was completed.

So I went to the last step which was to use smartftp to open the wp-config.php file in a text editor (notepad) (wp-config.php is located in the root wordpress directory.)

and I looked there. It said username: database: so I changed those both to myname_wrdp1 and then in the area that said "password" which had the long string of numbers and letters I entered my password I had just created in the first step.

I checked and my blog reappeared intact.

    What an ordeal!!!
but now my two different blogs are back.

Lesson learned: DONT EVER COPY FILES FROM ONE WORDPRESS TO ANOTHER. Ask questions on the forum first.
