On how to change the folder name for my blog. Just like the guy in the link, I changed my folder name from "wordpress" to "blog", and followed the same procedure outlined there.
Everything worked perfectly, except that now I don't receive emails telling me I have a new comment. I used to receive them just fine, and as far as I'm aware I haven't changed ANYTHING in the options except for what was outlined in that link. My email address is still entered just fine in the options.
