I changed code somewhere - updates not showing on live site (7 posts)

I'm running Thesis 1.6 on WP 2.9.2. This site is not behaving correctly in 2 ways:

    1. updates to pages aren't showing up on live site

    2. images I placed in pages via Add Media/browser uploader aren't showing up live (thanks esmi and others for your previous answers on that issue)

My other 2 sites are also 1.6/2.9.2 and don't have these symptoms.

I know I can copy over with the original Thesis 1.6 files as needed, but I don't know if my Thesis mods are the problem, or WP settings.

Remember to press CTRL and F5 simultaneously when viewing an updated page/site. Or try emptying your browser cache. This should ensure that your web browser fetches a fresh copy of the page rather than serving up an out-dated copy from your own cache.

Thanks, esmi, but I tried both and no changes.

Have you tried deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

Yes, I tried deactivating the one plug-in that was running - no changes. mod_security is not the issue (learned that last night on a tech call to my host).

I've been all over this part of the Forum reading threads, and I do believe I changed code in a php file that's causing this, I just don't know which one.

    Any other ideas?

Thank you esmi, for doing your best. I caused my problem this way: I had started the front page as a Post, then started it as a Page, and didn't go back to the Reading panel to make up my mind.

Solution: I made the front page Static, and deleted the Post version. I won't do that again, I can tell you.

Thanks again for your kind attention. Having Otto42's year-old sticky post about all the image-related issues was very instructive.

    Cheers, Dale
